RECOMMENDATION: Accept the transfer of right of way and easements that were acquired by Maricopa County during the design and construction of El Mirage Road. PROPOSED MOTION: I move to accept the transfer of right of way and easements from Maricopa County to the City as presented. BACKGROUND: Maricopa County was the lead agency in charge of the design and construction of El Mirage Road between Northern Avenue and Peoria Avenue. As part of that project, the County was required to acquire portions of adjacent properties for the purposes of obtaining right of way, drainage easements and/or public utility easements. Since these properties reside within the City of El Mirage, the County has the authority to transfer this land to the City as outlined in the Intergovernmental Agreement C-91-11-226-5-00 that outlines the responsibility of the stakeholders for the entire El Mirage Road project.
