The Yolo County response to the COVID-19 pandemic includes providing locations for individuals living homeless to shelter in place, specifically in non-congregate settings. Emergency funding sources which support the motels and transportation services require that the County provide behavioral and other social services to individuals at these locations. Health & Human Services Agency is addressing this requirement by contracting with providers to fulfill unique roles with all individuals in the motels: Homeless Services Lead, Case Manager, Runner and Caller.
On or about July 27, 2021 the Board ratified the Procurement Manager to sign and execute the original agreements. With the amendments in this agenda item, each agreement will have 6 monthly optional extensions through June 30, 2022 at the same monthly amount as mentioned above. Approval of these amendments will allow Yolo County Children’s Alliance and Empower Yolo to continue these vital services to our vulnerable population and ensure COVID positive clients are placed in a motel during quarantine.
