Title:    Comprehensive Purchaing Policy Update

1. REQUESTED BOARD ACTION:
Finance: Adopt Resolution No. 2019-32, updating: a) the Yuma County Comprehensive Purchasing Policy's Exhibit "A" of the County's list of approved Yuma County State or Similar Contractors by the addition of U.S. General Services Administration Schedule 84 as an approved resource for the acquisition of Security, Fire, and Law Enforcement services and equipment, and b) miscellaneous technical corrections to certain paragraphs as described on the attached red-lined document. (Exhibit A is available for review at the office of the Clerk of the Board of Supervisors.) 
2. SUMMARY:
The Federal Government's Public Law 110-248 (See attached PLAW 110-248.pdf) recently amended Title 40, United States Code, to authorize the use of Federal Supply Schedule 84 for the acquisition of law enforcement, security, and certain other related items by the State and Local Governments. The Sheriff department has requested that this schedule be added to the Board's Approved list of  State or Similar Contractors as per Exhibit "A" of the County's Comprehensive Purchasing Policy.   By adding GSA Schedule 84 to the list of approved State of Similar Contractors, the County will streamline and expedite the acquisition process of said services and equipment as the procurement requirements will be met.
      
Financial Services is also requesting approval to update miscellaneous Items as listed in the attached red-lined comprehensive purchasing policy document. The Financial Services department constantly reviews policies for updates and errors. The listed changes are the result of this year's review and update.
3. RECOMMENDED MOTION:
