Receive, consider and act upon a revision to The Township Personnel Policy Manual; 
The Woodlands Township Board of Directors approved The Woodlands Township Personnel Policy Manual on November 16, 2009.  The purpose of the Policy Manual is to provide a consistent guide to personnel interaction involving Township employees.  The President and Human Resources Director have the primary responsibility for the administration and interpretation of personnel policies as delegated by the Board.  All Township employees must comply with The Woodlands Township Personnel Policy Manual. 
A revision to the Policy Manual concerning Township Employees who are contracted to the Convention and Visitor’s Bureau has been developed and needs Township Board approval:
“Township employees who are contracted to the CVB will be subject to the travel and reimbursement policy as established by the CVB Board of Directors and administered through the CVB.  All other personnel policies contained within the Township’s Personnel Policy Manual and Employee Handbook will continue to apply to the Township - CVB contract employee group.   
Due to the marketing / promotion requirements of this unique employee group,  the Township Employees Contracted to the CVB may be reimbursed by the CVB for client related entertainment expenses if provided within the CVB travel and reimbursement policy but employees will not be reimbursed for any direct personal alcohol expenses. “
The Township Attorney has reviewed and approved the revised Policy. 
Additional revisions to the Township Personnel Policy Manual are currently under review, and will be presented to the Board at an upcoming meeting.
Approve the recommended revision and addition to The Woodlands Township Personnel Policy Manual.
