SUBJECT MATTER:
Receive, consider and act upon development of a Phase III proposal for the Cultural Arts Feasibility Study for Board consideration at a January 2018 meeting; 
FISCAL IMPACT:
To be determined.
BACKGROUND:
The Woodlands Township contracted with global design firm Gensler, in collaboration with Webb Management, an expert in cultural arts feasibility studies, to conduct the Cultural Arts Feasibility study for the Township in two phases. Phase I included reviewing previous studies, conducting current market analyses and trends to determine viability, conducting meetings and interviews with community members and stakeholders. Phase II included recommendations, along with a management/business plan and financial pro forma, as outlined in the original RFP. Conclusion of Phase II is expected with a final report to be given at the December 6, 2017, Board of Directors meeting.
 
Additional information will be presented to the Board of Directors during the December 6, 2017, Board of Directors meeting for consideration of a proposal for Phase III to continue the study.
RECOMMENDATION:
Board to determine course of action.
