SUBJECT MATTER:
Receive, consider and act upon approving and authorizing execution of an Election Services Agreement with Montgomery County, Texas (C-2019-0371);
FISCAL IMPACT:

BACKGROUND:
The Election Services Agreement defines the terms, conditions and estimated costs under which the Montgomery County Election Office will administer the election for the Montgomery County portion of the Township.

The Montgomery County Elections Administrator has provided this year’s form for an Election Services Agreement. Legal counsel has reviewed and advised that no substantive changes have been made.
 
The cost estimate will not be provided until the County has received notice of election for all participating entities. The Township's percentage of overall costs should be comparable to previous elections in November of odd-numbered years. The cost of the proportionate share varies based on the staffing, location and equipment needs required to address anticipated voter turnout.
RECOMMENDATION:
Authorize the President/General Manager to approve and execute the Election Services Agreement with Montgomery County.
