SUBJECT MATTER:
Receive, consider and act upon an Interlocal Agreement with Montgomery County related to Emergency Vehicle Priority traffic preemption (C-2019-0638);
FISCAL IMPACT:
None.
BACKGROUND:
Included in FY 2020 Budget, are funds allocated to upgrade traffic preemption equipment at all intersections in The Woodlands Fire Departments' service area.  Once approved by The Woodlands Township Board and Montgomery County Commissioners’ Court, the agreement will authorize Township contracted vendors to install traffic preemption devices on Montgomery County owned and maintained intersection equipment.
RECOMMENDATION:
Authorize the President/General Manager to execute the Montgomery County Emergency Vehicle Priority Interlocal Agreement authorizing the installation of traffic preemption equipment on Montgomery County owned and maintained intersection equipment as approved in final form by Township Attorney.
