Receive, consider and act upon updates to The Woodlands Township Personnel Policy Manual;
The Woodlands Township Board of Directors originally approved The Woodlands Township Personnel Policy Manual on November 16, 2009. The Policy Manual is routinely reviewed and revisions are brought forward to the Board on an annual basis or as deemed necessary. The purpose of the Policy Manual is to provide a consistent guide to personnel interaction involving Township employees. The President and Human Resources Director have the primary responsibility for the administration and interpretation of personnel policies as delegated by the Board. All Township employees must comply with The Woodlands Township Personnel Policy Manual.
Catherine Clifton, Contract HR for The Woodlands Fire Department reviewed the Policy Manual in its entirety and made revisions that would incorporate the needs of firefighters and emergency dispatchers. Staff also reviewed the Policy Manual and found areas that should be revised – either due to changes in the law or current practices. A summary of these revisions is attached.
The Executive Management Team, and the Township Attorney have reviewed and approved the revisions to the Policy Manual. The entire Township Personnel Policy Manual is also attached for your review.
