The California Department of Public Health (CDPH) is again providing Yolo County grant funds for the Local Oral Health Program. These funds allow Yolo County Health and Human Services Agency (HHSA) to expand program activities related to oral health in our communities. These activities include education, oral health disease prevention, facilitating community-clinical linkages, establishing oral health policies, and surveillance.
The strategic goals for this program have been to: A) raise community awareness about oral health, B) increase screening and prevention services for children, C) facilitate local policies to promote oral health, and D) promote expanded dental access for low-income children/adults. Approval of this agreement will allow HHSA to continue to serve Yolo County residents in alignment with these goals.
