Reason for Recommended Action/Background |
Pursuant to the Parks and Water Bond Act of 2018, the California Department of Parks and Recreation ("State Parks") has allocated $185,000,000 to its "Per Capita Program". These funds are available for park rehabilitation, creation, and improvements on a "per capita" basis.
The County's "Per Capita Program" allocation from State Parks is $400,000. At the November 9, 2021, Board meeting the Board adopted Resolution No. 21-145 (see Attachment C, Minute Order No. 21-165) authorizing the Director of General Services to accept the County's allocation of "Per Capita Program" funds.
Since that time, the Knights Landing Community Services District has submitted a letter to the Interim County Administrator (see Attachment D) stating the CSD's intention to transfer the CSD's "Per Capita Program" allocation of $177,952 to the County of Yolo. State Parks program guidelines require that the "accepting agency" (in this case, the County of Yolo) both adopt the attached resolution (Attachment A) and submit the attached letter (Attachment B) to formalize the transfer of the $177,952 allocation from the Knights Landing CSD to the County of Yolo. These mandatory documents are due to State Parks not later than December 31, 2021. |
