Strategic Plan Goal(s)
Thriving Residents
Safe Communities
Reason for Recommended Action/Background
Crestwood Behavioral Health, Inc. operates eighteen long-term facilities for adult psychiatric consumers.  Consumers are placed into various facilities depending on the level of care needed and on the specialization of the facility.

Due to the limited availability of inpatient psychiatric beds statewide, Yolo County contracts with all available inpatient psychiatric facilities in the surrounding area to ensure access to adequate availability for our consumers.

Approval of this amendment will provide funding to maintain the continuity of medically necessary care for consumers currently in treatment at the various facilities of Crestwood Behavioral Health, Inc.  This amendment will allow HHSA to continue to reduce State Hospital and Acute Psychiatric Hospital placements and ensure access for consumers to all services necessary to live in the least restrictive setting. Additionally, approval of this amendment will accommodate the reoccurring need to increase funding in future fiscal years.
