Subject
Adopt Authorized Position and Salary Resolution to implement changes in the County Counsel's Office, District Attorney's Office, Health and Human Services Agency, Innovation and Technology Services and the Sheriff's Office; and approve a starting vacation and sick leave balance for a new hire Lieutenant at the Sheriff's Office. (No general fund impact) (Lara)
Recommended Action
Adopt Authorized Position and Salary Resolution to implement changes in the County Counsel's Office, District Attorney's Office, Health and Human Services Agency, Innovation and Technology Services and the Sheriff's Office; and Approve a starting vacation balance of 120 hours and a starting sick leave balance of 100 hours for a new hire Lieutenant at the Sheriff's Office, Stephen Guthrie, effective on his hire date of November 7, 2021.

Reason for Recommended Action/Background
See Attachment A for changes to the Authorized Position and Salary Resolution. From time to time, staff recommends Board approval of starting leave balances upon hire for highly qualified individuals. Human Resources recommends approval of a starting vacation balance of 120 hours and a starting sick leave balance of 100 hours for Stephen Guthrie, in recognition of his prior public service. Stephen comes to the County as a Lieutenant at the Sheriff's Office, with over 24 years of experience with the City of Woodland in a variety of different areas within law enforcement.
