| Reason for Recommended Action/Background |
| As stated in the Sacramento Bee recently, fentanyl is spreading death and misery throughout the greater Sacramento region. There has been a meteoric rise of people dying of fentanyl poisoning in Yolo County. People are unknowingly ingesting fentanyl, which is 100 times stronger than heroin and dying within seconds. COVID has exacerbated this epidemic. Yolo County needs to take action, similar to Sacramento, and initiate a public awareness campaign focusing on education and prevention. |
