Information
Action Requested
Public Works - Approve the purchase of one (1) Ford Explorer, four (4) Ford F250s and two (2) Ford F150s for Heavy Fleet during FY 2021-22, through the Arizona Public Safety Procurement Program (AZPSPP) using HURF funds.  YC Contract No. 2019-456 (All Districts)
Brief Explanation of Need
The General Services Administration (GSA) Arizona Public Safety Procurement Program (AZPSPP), formerly the Arizona Counter-Drug Procurement Program (AZCDPP), allows the County to purchase vehicles used for emergency response, counter drug measures, and associated infrastructures that support those activities, under the federal 1122 Program. The Federal Contract prices are lower than State of Arizona contract prices, saving the County thousands of dollars.

The attached GSA - 1122 Program bid tab shows price comparisons for SUVs and Trucks available for purchase. In both the SUV and Truck categories, Ford vehicles are recommended as the lowest quoted and buildable vehicles.  We recommend purchasing one (1) Ford Explorer, four (4) Ford F250s and two (2) Ford F150s at a total cost of $239,014.71.  This is over the approved budget amount by $7,664.71, however this is consistent with current new vehicle inflation rates.  The FY 21-22 HURF budget expenditures will be adjusted to cover this cost overrun as required.

We respectfully request the Yavapai County Board of Supervisors approve the purchase of one (1) Ford Explorer, four (4) Ford F250s and two (2) Ford F150s through the General Services Administration (GSA) Arizona Public Safety Procurement Program (AZPSPP) at a total cost of $239,014.71, to be paid with FY 21-22 HURF funds.
