Action Requested
Public Works - Approve a right-of-way project for Cottonwood Street between S. Sawmill Gardens Drive and E. Willow Tree Lane adjacent to the City of Cottonwood. (District 3 - Supervisor Garrison)
Brief Explanation of Need

Yavapai County maintains an isolated, 475-foot, unpaved segment of Cottonwood Street. The Public Works Department is studying the possibility of upgrading the roadway from dirt to pavement; however, it is unclear if the existing roadway is entirely within the boundaries of the right-of-way. Additionally, Yavapai County Road Ordinance 2013-1 requires the acquisition of right-of-way prior to commencement of any roadway construction project.
The Public Works Department respectfully requests that the Board of Supervisors approve a right-of-way project for Cottonwood Street in order to work towards perfecting the right-of-way for the existing roadway and acquire additional right-of-way, if necessary, in conjunction with a potential upgrade of the roadway in the future.
