Mayor Gray called the meeting to order at 7:30 P.M.

   3. COMMUNITY COMMENTS
             
   A. Oran Hoover, 279 Lockville Road. Mr. Hoover stated that earlier this year he met with staff and presented a couple of solutions regarding the speeding on Lockville Road and was present tonight to thank the Mayor, Council, and staff for the installation of the radar speed sign on Lockville Road. He continued that the speed on Lockville Road has been a concern of his for years and has noticed that people are slowing down with the installation of the sign. He stated that he is also concerned about the amount of semi trailers that travel Lockville Road at a high rate of speed as well as speed near the schools and would like to see more speed limit signs installed. Mr. Hoover stated that the last item he would like to address concerns candy throwing at parades. He continued that the practice of candy throwing at parades creates a safety hazard and would like to see candy being handed out versus thrown at all parades moving forward.

  Moved by Mr. Barletta to amend the agenda to add Ordinance 2021-39, an ordinance adopting a statement regarding possible incompatible land uses and zoning buffer for a proposed annexation of 1.455 acres, more or less, from Violet Township, Fairfield County to the City of Pickerington, Ohio as required by section 709.023(C) of the Ohio Revised code, to the consent agenda, seconded by Mr. Wisniewski

Ordinance 2021-37, an ordinance stating the services to be provided to approximately 1.455 acres, more or less, proposed to be annexed from Violet Township, Fairfield County to the City of Pickerington; Ordinance 2021-39, an ordinance adopting a statement regarding possible incompatible land uses and zoning buffer for a proposed annexation of 1.455 acres, more or less, from Violet Township, Fairfield County to the City of Pickerington, Ohio as required by section 709.023(C) of the Ohio Revised Code; and Resolution 2021-23R, a resolution re-appointing Steve Malone to the Parks and Recreation Board.
