A.   RECEIVE AND FILE THE RECOMMENDATIONS OF THE CALIFORNIA VOTING RIGHTS ACT (CVRA) COMMUNITY WORKING GROUP RELATED TO THE CITY’S GOVERNANCE STRUCTURE, ELECTION METHOD, ELECTION YEAR, SEQUENCE OF ELECTIONS, DIVERSIFICATION OF BOARDS AND COMMISSIONS, AND OTHER RELATED MATTERS:
RECOMMENDATION:
  1. Receive and file the recommendations of the CVRA Community Working Group.
  2. Receive public comment regarding the recommendations of the CVRA Community Working Group.
 
PUBLIC COMMENT FOR STUDY SESSION ITEM ONLY:
This time has been set aside for members of the public to address the City Council only on the agenda item. Two (2) minutes will be assigned to each speaker.
 
ADJOURNMENT: The City Council will adjourn to the next regular meeting Wednesday,
October 3, 2018, at 6:00 p.m. Council Chamber, City Hall, preceded by Closed Session,
Small Conference Room, City Hall, 3200 East Tahquitz Canyon Way, Palm Springs.
