Meeting Date: 10/20/2020
Submitted By: Greg Laudadio, Planner/HPO

SUMMARY:
Mr. Ed McCoy, owner of McCoy's Funeral home at 501 W. Oak St., has purchased the building at 502 W. Oak St. (across the street from his current business) and has submitted a Certificate of Appropriateness application to the Historic Landmarks Commission. Mr. McCoy wishes to salvage the building and make alterations that would accommodate his business needs and utilize 502 W. Oak as additional space for McCoy Funeral Home.
See attached COA application and photos of 502 W. Oak St.
RECOMMENDED ACTION:
The HLC board should consider approval of the requested alterations. The building has been vacant and unused for many years and badly neglected. Renovations and repairs would be extensive. Mr. McCoy would like the building at 502 W. Oak to appear similar to his existing building across the street at 501 W Oak.
