RECOMMENDATION
Discuss and consider authorizing County Judge to forward letter to RTA regarding re-directing County funding from the RTA Street Improvement Program to bus stop improvements at the Hector P. Garcia Clinic.
BACKGROUND
Each year the Regional Transportation Authority (RTA) allocates and provides the Street Improvement funding for the benefit of Nueces County. As part of that agreement, Nueces County is required to provide the RTA a plan on improvements to be completed with these funds.
DISCUSSION
Commissioner Pct 1 and Commissioner Pct 2 have expressed a desire to see the bus stop at the Hector P. Garcia Clinic improved and upgraded with a covered shelter for all riders visiting the clinic and would like to commit their share equally for a total sum of $21,000 from their allocation.
