RECOMMENDATION
Receive information from Hagerty Consulting regarding the American Rescue Plan Act (ARPA) and related matters.
BACKGROUND
The American Rescue Plan Act of 2021 (ARPA) (Pub. L. 117-2) is an emergency legislative package intended to “fund vaccinations, provide direct relief to families bearing the brunt of the COVID-19 crisis, and support struggling communities.” The bill provides a total of $1.9 trillion to governments and other entities such as hospitals, public schools, and universities to promote recovery from the COVID-19 pandemic.  Signed into law by President Biden on March 11, 2021, the bill allocates $350 billion in fiscal recovery funds to State, Local, Tribal, and Territorial (SLTT) Governments.
DISCUSSION
As the County’s consultant hired for COVID-19 response, Hagerty Consulting will provide an overview of the American Rescue Plan Act and how the County will be affected.
