RECOMMENDATION
Discuss and consider authorizing BuyBoard Contract No. 592-19 purchase with Daktronics, Inc. related to the replacement of the emergency notification marquee sign at the RMB Fairgrounds, in accordance with funding received from the Texas General Land Office, Community Development Block Grant Disaster Recovery (CDBG-DR) program.
BACKGROUND
On March 11, 2020, the Commissioners Court ratified the execution of a contract with the Texas General Land Office for the Community Development Block Grant Disaster Recovery Program Infrastructure Projects, Harvey Round 1 Funding (Contract No. 20-065-091-C254). 
 
The County’s contract included the following projects: 
 
County Road 67 Improvements
County Road 69 Improvement
Bauer Road Improvements
County Road 77 Improvements
Emergency Notification Marquee Sign at the Fairgrounds
 
Department code 2480 has been set up for this grant, which does not require a match.  The contract will terminate on May 31, 2022.
DISCUSSION
The County received an environmental exemption from the Texas General Land Office for the replacement of the emergency notification marquee sign at the RMB Fairgrounds and are now cleared to move forward on the project. Purchase in the amount of $379,757.00 to be paid by Dept 2480 (CDBG-DR) funds.
