RECOMMENDATION
Discuss and consider the Corpus Christi-Nueces County Public Health District (CCNCPHD) entering into an Implementation Agreement with Nurse-Family Partnership (NFP); and authorize the Director of the Corpus Christi-Nueces County Public Health District to sign on behalf of Nueces County.
BACKGROUND
In prior years, Health and Human Services Commission (HHSC) has directly contracted with NFP National Service Office (NSO) for all the NFP sites in Texas. This year HHSC has decided that each individual site will need to contract with them individually. Therefore, the NFP Implementation Agreement gives CCNCPHD the right to implement the NFP program beginning September 1, 2015 through August 31, 2018. CCNCPHD is the implementing agency and understands NFP is an evidenced-based model and must follow all parameters set by the program to ensure the program is delivered with 100% fidelity to the model. The Implementation Agreement states CCNCPHD must pay any fees directly to NSO which are budgeted in the FY16 budget submitted to HHSC.
DISCUSSION
The purpose of this agreement is to obtain the right to implement the Nurse-Family Partnership program at the Corpus Christi-Nueces County Public Health District. This agreement with NFP is a sole source.
