Adopt a resolution authorizing the submission of a grant application to the Texas Office of the Governor, Public Safety Office, Criminal Justice Division under the First Responder Mental Health Program, FY2022.

The Office of the Governor, Public Safety Office, Criminal Justice Division has released a funding announcement for the First Responder Mental Health Program, FY2022.  The purpose of the program is to provide services and assistance directly to peace officers and first responders to address direct and indirect trauma that occurs in the course of their normal duties either as the result of the commission of crimes by other persons or in response to an emergency.

At the time of the submission of this agenda item, the Grants Administration Department is working on developing the project scope.    
The application is due February 11, 2021 and there is a 20% match required that can be met with either cash and/or in-kind services.
