Discuss and award IFB 3012-16 McKinzie Jail Annex Dormitory Renovation.
Scope of work for the Base Bid consists of: demolishing existing CMU and metal stud/gypsum board partitions, existing plumbing fixtures, existing casework, existing ceilings, and electrical/mechanical equipment. Renovation work consists of the renovation of two (2) dormitories, each having an inmate capacity of seventy-two (72) inmates. Each dormitory will contain restroom and shower areas. New work shall include grading, concrete masonry, structural steel and metal fabrications and finish carpentry; building insulation, sheet metal flashing, roof specialties and accessories, and joint sealers; metal doors, finish hardware, glass and glazing, gypsum and fiber reinforced wallboard, ceramic tile work, tamper resistant ceilings, tile flooring and accessories, carpet, paint, and other specialties; plastic laminate finished modular casework; hot and cold water piping, plumbing fixtures, sanitary and storm water piping, equipment for air conditioning, heating and ventilation and associated ductwork and direct digital controls; and electrical service, power distribution, and lighting, special systems. Remove and relocate existing 250kw diesel generator and demolish existing generator pad. Replace with new 350kw diesel generator, new generator foundation pad. Add new automatic transfer switch and associated distribution. In addition, a new electrical room with fire rated walls, new generator foundation, etc.
