Authorize the purchase for county-wide HVAC Systems air filter replacement services for the period July 9, 2013 through July 8, 2014 from American Filtration Company for Public Works.
Air filters must be replaced on time, or the HVAC equipment will breakdown from dirt infiltration, extra ordinary high pressure buildup, unbalanced loads on the compressor, condenser and evaporator cycles, creation of system-wide air-flow bottlenecks from erratic air flow rates, because of that, the County can incur major cost-prohibitive expenses along with potential consequences of not having air conditioning in many of our buildings, until repairs and/or replacements of damaged or destroyed equipment are made.
Purchase in the amount of $33,505.50 is to be paid from 2013/2014 Budget.
