Update to the Community Development Block Grant - Disaster Recovery (CDBG-DR)

Discuss recent update to the Community Development Block Grant - Disaster Recovery (CDBG-DR) funding application to the Texas General Land Office.
On October 29, 2018, Nueces County was notified by the Texas General Land Office of available funding through their Community Development Block Grant – Disaster Recovery (CDBG-DR) program. The CDBG-DR funds are being provided by the U.S. Department of Housing and Urban Development (HUD) for recovery from Hurricane Harvey.
On August 30, 2019 Nueces County submitted the final application to the General Land Office.
The County’s final submission included the following projects:
County Road 67 Improvements, from FM665 south by approximately 17,215 square yards; total project costs: $1,359,105.63
County Road 69 Improvements, from County Road 48 to County Road 52; total project costs: $1,272,750.60
Bauer Road Improvements, from County Road 44 to State Highway 44; total project costs: $974,292.00
County Road 77 Improvements from FM 2826 to County Road 30; total project costs:653,215.36
Emergency Notification Marquee Sign at the Fairgrounds; total project costs: $385,067.00
Total of all projects is $4,644,430.59
The Grants Office was notified of approval of the above projects on January 2, 2020. We are told that it will take approximately 4-6 weeks to receive the official grant contract, which will be brought to Commissioners Court for approval/execution as soon as we receive it.
