RECOMMENDATION

Discuss and consider revising 2020 Holiday Schedule that was approved in the last Commissioners Court; consider making the two half-day holidays into one full-day holiday to align with the other Thanksgiving or Christmas holidays.

BACKGROUND

Due to certain departments that have employees work shift work, it is not feasible to have them work a half-day schedule. It will also become an issue for the payroll department on processing half-day holiday pay for employees that are on these shifts. Therefore, it is recommended to reconsider combining the two half-day holidays into one full day holiday for all employees.
