RECOMMENDATION:
Staff recommends reconsideration of the Rezoning and Conditional Use Permit during the next regularly scheduled meeting on July 9, 2019.
EXECUTIVE SUMMARY:
The purpose of this report is to propose reconsideration of a Rezoning request and accompanying Conditional Use Permit for a proposed self-storage and business center, located on the northwest corner of Calle Concordia and Oracle Road (see image to the right). The purpose of this request is to address a technical discrepancy between the previous recommendations. 

On May 7, 2019, the Planning and Zoning Commission considered a Rezoning request to change the existing zoning from R1-144 to Technological Park (see Attachment 1). This request included a site design depicting a 115,086 square foot building and was recommended for approval. However, the Conditional Use Permit to allow the proposed building size (over 15,000 sf in a Technological Park zoning district) and self-storage use was recommended for denial (for draft meeting minutes, see Attachment 2).

As such, the proposed building size (as depicted on the Tentative Development Plan) was recommended for approval with the Rezoning request but recommended for denial with the Conditional Use Permit. In order to address this discrepancy, staff recommends reconsideration of both the Rezoning and Conditional Use Permit during the next regularly scheduled meeting on July 9, 2019.
