MINUTES

Meeting called to order at 4:01 pm. 
Present:

APPROVAL OF MINUTES
             
Approval of the minutes of the April 23, 2019 meeting.
  Motion by Member Chris Rolenc, second by Member Austin Moore to approve the minutes of the April 23, 2019 meeting.
  Vote: 3 - 0 Motion Carried
  Dave Lehman abstained from the vote.
             
APPEARANCES
             
Consideration of approval for exterior improvements to the building owned by THERESA AND ERIN ROUSE located at N86 W16302 Appleton Avenue.
  Present:
Theresa and Erin Rouse of Hello Little, N86 W16302 Appleton Avenue, Menomonee Falls WI 53051
  Motion by Member Chris Rolenc, second by Member David Lehman to make the following two findings:
  1. The site plan is architecturally functional.
  2. The exterior design proposed is not unsightly or obnoxious and is not disharmonious or so similar to existing neighboring developments that substantial depreciation of neighboring property or development will be caused by the applicant’s proposal.
     
    And approve the request for exterior improvements to the building owned by THERESA AND ERIN ROUSE located at N86 W16302 Appleton Avenue, subject to the following conditions:
     
  1. Submitting color and material samples for the building, base of building, and flower boxes to Staff for review and approval.
  2. Submitting lighting plans to Staff for review and approval if exterior lighting is to change.
  3. The proposed mural has been reviewed and approved by the Architectural Control Board.
  Vote: 4 - 0 Motion Carried
             

Review and approval of the landscape plan on the request of SULLIVAN DESIGN BUILD in association with a Planned Infill Development (PID) allowing an automotive dealership owned by INTERNATIONAL AUTOS.  The subject project would be located on the north side of Main Street between Fountain Boulevard and Lilly Road, in the C-1 Neighborhood Business with the OC-5 Commercial Service Overlay District.
  Present:
Jim Triatik of Sullivan Design Build, 1314 Emil Street, Madison, WI 53713 
Paul Skitmore, Landscape Architect of Sullivan Design Build, 1314 Emil Street, Madison, WI 53713
  Motion by Member Chris Rolenc, second by Chairperson Mike Manke to make the following two findings:
  1. The site plan is architecturally functional.

  1. Submitting an updated landscaping plan addressing the following items to Staff for review and approval:
    1. Adding Little Blue Stem 3 feet on center between the parking lot and the retaining wall for the entire length of the retaining wall;
    2. Adding Gro-Low Sumac 3.5 feet on center in the four parking islands adjacent to Main Street;
    3. Adding three Arborvitaes on the north side of the dumpster enclosure with spacing that is consistent with the other approved Arborvitaes.
  Vote: 4 - 0 Motion Carried
