CALL TO ORDER
  The meeting was called to order at 7:30 AM.
             
APPROVAL OF MINUTES
             
Approval of the minutes of the January 11, 2017 meeting.
  Motion by Vice President Nancy Kane, second by Member Jim Scherdin to approve the minutes of the January 11, 2017 meeting.
  Vote: 9 - 0 Motion Carried
  Mark Quirk arrived at 7:35 AM.
             
TREASURER'S REPORT – Review of Financials – Dean Behrens
  Financials were read by Dean Behrens showing income for the month of January of $191.22 and expenses of $7,691.29 for a balance of $33,573.47.
  Motion by CDA Representative Cathy Hazzard, second by Member Mary Lahti to approve the Treasurer’s Report. All ayes, motion carried.
  Vote: 9 - 0 Motion Carried
             
COMMITTEE REPORTS
             
BID Director's Report - Barb Watters
  The former Bell Eye Care building has been listed for $225,000

Recruitment committee will meet on Feb 27.

Top enhancement project would be an upgrade of centennial plaza. The name could possible be changed. An initial rendering of improvements was presented. Signage, public art, and a wall mural were discussed as well. Planning to contact a private entity for sponsorship.

Facebook page name has been changed to "Menomonee Falls Downtown" and started a Twitter account @Fallsdowntown.

Currently 33 mugs and 23 post cards have been sold.

Falls Memorial Fest planning is underway. The Village's 125th birthday will be celebrated and the event will run from Noon - 10 PM. A banner will hang over Main St on a permanent pole with lights, just east of Robin's Nest.

10 Thursday night concerts in the park have ben schedules from June 15 through August 17 starting at 6:30 in Village Park.

Both Wednesday and Sunday Farmers Markets will be open to the public from 9:00 AM - 2:00 PM. Currently 4 spaces have been rented for Spring, 6 spaces for Summer, and 3 spaces for Fall.

Attended the Chamber Awards Banquet. Plan to attend webinar hosted by WEDC. Will attend Chamber's Business After 5 at Griffin Chevrolet. Will attend Governor's Conference on Tourism in Milwaukee from March 12-14.
             
Strategic Planning Committee – Nancy Kane
  The Ad-Hoc 2017 Strategic Plan Committee begin work on an inventory of BID communication tools.

The BIA and BCP updates were discussed. The BIA is complete. The BCP is ongoing.
             
Trustee Report - Katie Kress
  The Village Board approved a Code Amendment which would allow for certain recreational/fitness business uses to operate as permitted uses in commercial districts rather than as a Conditional Use.
             
CDA Report - Cathy Hazzard
  All About Learning has expressed interest in the Facade Grant.
             
Village Report - Gabe Gilbertson
  Petro Mart appeared at the Plan Commission in February and received approval on a 4-2 vote for their Conditional Use application. They will have appearances at the Architectural Control Board and Village Board.

Main Street reconstruction from Water Street to Grant Avenue should be completed July/August.
             
TOPICS TO ADDRESS
             
Update on the BID Business Impact Analysis and Business Continuity Plan
  Nancy Kane gave an update on the BIA and BCP. The initial BIA is complete. The BCP work is ongoing. Full documents were presented to the Board in their current versions.
             
Discussion and Update on the BID Mission Statement
  The BID discussed updating and possibly shortening the BID mission statement. Work will be done outside of the full Bid Board meeting and will come back at a future meeting.
             
Discussion of One Open Board Seat
  BID President Bruce Russell will continue to talk with Ryan from WaterStone Bank.
             
ORGANIZATION/CLUB ANNOUNCEMENTS
  None.
             
FUTURE MEETING
  The next regular meeting will be Wednesday, March 8, 2017.

  Motion by Member Jim Scherdin, second by Vice President Nancy Kane to adjourn. Meeting adjourned at 8:24 AM.
