AGENDA SUBJECT:

Approval of an Ordinance prohibiting the operation of bicycles and pedestrians beginning one-half hour after sunset and ending one-half hour before sunrise on portions of Hero Way; authorizing the posting of signs; providing for penalties; providing for enforcement; providing for severability; providing for open meetings clause and an effective date; and providing for related matters.

BACKGROUND:

Following a discussion at the August 6, 2020 regular meeting, Council directed staff to bring back an Ordinance prohibiting bicycles and pedestrians only after dark on portions of Hero Way. Staff will work with TXDoT on sign posting approval, if required.

Attached is the requested Ordinance for consideration.
