| Purpose and Recommended Action |
| This is a request for City Council to award RFP 21-17; authorize the City Manager to enter into a Professional Services Agreement with PBC Phoenix, Inc., dba CCS Facility Services, to provide custodial services for park restrooms, ball fields, and the restrooms at Murphy Park during special events in the amount of $144,000 for the initial one-year term, and not to exceed $720,000 for the entire term of the agreement; and to authorize the City Manager to renew the agreement, at his discretion, for an additional four (4) years, renewable on an annual basis. | Background |
| The current contract for custodial services for the city parks, facilities, and libraries (C-10258-6) is set to expire on March 7, 2021. The City issued RFP 21-17 on October 8, 2020, for custodial services for city park restroom facilities, ball fields, Murphy Park for special events, and hazardous custodial services. There were five proposals submitted including the one from PBC Phoenix, Inc. dba CCS Facility Services. An evaluation panel of three members recommends CCS Facility Services as the most responsive and responsible vendor. There were no protests received regarding this solicitation. |
| Analysis |
As outlined in the Scope of Work for RFP 21-17, PBC Phoenix, Inc; dba CCS Facility Services will provide all labor, materials, tools, equipment, and supervision for custodial services for park restrooms, ball fields, and Murphy Park during the City’s special events. It will also include hazardous custodial services, as needed.
Cleaning and servicing of all restrooms shall be provided one (1) time per day, seven (7) days a week, and on an "as needed" basis for Special Events.
