Item Title:    Design Modification Services for Shiloh Road

Purchase Justification:
This request is to provide additional engineering design services to revise the existing Shiloh Road construction documents.  The additional services include adjusting the construction plan limits in four different areas along the project.  The first change is in anticipation of Texas Department of Transportation’s (TxDOT) proposed I.H. 635 Frontage Road Improvements, which will have an impact on the limits of storm sewer, water, paving, and signals.  The second change is a proposed new development requiring a driveway approach, storm sewer connections, water taps, a wastewater tap, and cross-section changes.  The third change is at the request of GP&L to add a drive approach from McCree Road into the McCree Electric Substation.  The fourth change is to add improvements at the intersection with Kingsley Road for the City’s new Intersection Crosswalk Enhancements program administered by the Planning Department.
Evaluation:
The original design contract for this project was approved in the amount of $346,655.00 at the October 5, 2010, City Council Meeting.  This Change Order No. 2 represents an 18.7% increase to the original Purchase Order 25520.
