Re:    FY2018 Law Enforcement Trust Fund Contributions
Submitted For: Diane Hobley-Burney

Approval of the following contributions: $5,000 to the Boys & Girls Clubs of St. Lucie County, $1,000 to The Northside Bat and Ball Little League Baseball, Incorporated, $1,000 to the In the Image of Christ, Incorporated, and $1,000 to the New Life Christian Fellowship Church from the Law Enforcement Trust Fund.
According to Florida State Statute 932.7055, the police department is required to spend twenty-five percent (25%) of Law Enforcement Trust Fund revenues from forfeitures and seizures each year in support of crime prevention activities.  The requested contributions will provide meaningful support to community based activities.
Staff recommends approval of contributions requested.
The alternative is to deny the request to support our community based activities.
