Approval of Memorandum of Understanding
Approval of the Interlocal Agreement between St. Lucie County, the St. Lucie County Sheriff's Office, the St. Lucie County Fire District, the City of Fort Pierce, and the City of Port St. Lucie for the maintenance and operation of the Mobile Command Unit.
On September 24, 2002, the City of Fort Pierce entered into a Interlocal Agreement with St. Lucie County, the St. Lucie County Sheriff's Office, and the St. Lucie County Fire District to purchase and operate a Mobile Command Unit. The Interlocal Agreement has been amended to include the City of Port St. Lucie to participate in the maintenance and operation of the Mobile Command Unit.
The amended Interlocal Agreement has been reviewed and approved by the City of Fort Pierce's City Attorney's Office. The Interlocal Agreement requires the signature of the Mayor; therefore, the police department requests approval for the Mayor to sign the amended Interlocal Agreement.
Staff recommends approval.
The alternative is to not sign the Interlocal Agreement and purchase a Mobile Command Unit.

The maintenance has been completed for FY 2018. There should be no impact to the general fund budget.
