RECOMMENDATION:

Approve a contract with Dysart School District to provide funding for the SRO position for the 2020/2021 school year.

PROPOSED MOTION:

I move to approve the SRO contract with Dysart School District for the 2020/2021 school year as presented.

BACKGROUND:

The contract provides "an amount not to exceed $113,333" to support an assigned El Mirage Police Officer as the Student Resource Officer (SRO) for Dysart High School for a 10-month period for the 2020/2021 school year. El Mirage will request reimbursement of SRO salary and benefits on a regular basis. This is a budgeted expense.
