Approve Posting Campaign Disclosure Forms on the City Website
RECOMMENDATION
Approve posting campaign disclosure forms on the City website for the November 3, 2020 General Municipal Election.
DISCUSSION
The California Political Reform Act requires candidates and committees to file campaign statements disclosing contributions received and expenditures made. The statements are public documents and are available in the City Clerk's office for inspection and copying.

During previous elections, campaign disclosure forms have been available for public review in the City Clerk's office during regular business hours. However, this year City Hall is closed to the public due to the pandemic and campaign disclosure forms are only available for public review by email.  While there is no requirement to make campaign disclosure forms available on the City's website, posting the November 3 General Municipal Election forms on the website provides easy public access and furthers the City Council's Strategic Plan Core Value of Transparency.
