SUBJECT
Adopt a Resolution Approving and Authorizing the Application for Proposition 68 Statewide Park Development and Community Revitalization Program Grant Funds to Develop the Nine-Acre Sports Park at the Corner of Cerritos and Lexington
RECOMMENDATION
Adopt a Resolution, approving and authorizing the application for Statewide Park Development and Community Revitalization Program Grant Funds to develop the nine-acre sports park at the corner of Cerritos and Lexington.
DISCUSSION
At the May 28, 2019 meeting, the City Council authorized staff to develop a Statewide Park Development and Community Revitalization Program grant application for the nine-acre sports park at the corner of Cerritos and Lexington.  Although the project was not selected for funding in the previous funding cycle, the State is accepting applications for the fourth and final funding cycle and requires a new resolution approving and authorizing the application as part of the application process.
BUDGET IMPACT
If awarded, the grant could provide up to $8.5 million of funding for the development of the sports park.
