Award Contracts for Sewer Relining, Project 265
1. Approve Plans and Specifications for Sewer Relining, Project 265; and

2. Award a contract to Sancon Engineering, Inc., Huntington Beach, CA, for $117,815, and authorize a contingency of $17,600; and

3. Approve a Task Order for Construction Inspection Services to TRC/Vali Cooper and Associates, for $11,988, and authorize a contingency of $1,800.
The City’s Sewer Master Plan identifies various sewer pipes as having capacity or condition deficiencies. This project will reline over 1,300 feet of sewer pipes and 12 manhole structures. The deficiencies in these pipes include calcium deposits, water infiltration, and cracks.

On October 1, the City received three bids for the project with Sancon Engineering as the low bidder. TRC/Vali Cooper and Associates, the City's on-call construction manager, will inspect the project. A summary of project award information is attached.
The estimated construction and construction management costs are $149,203 and sufficient amounts are available in the Sewer Fund capital budget for this project.
