ASC Steering Committee Report on January 9, 2018 Meeting

The Alamo Service Connection Steering Committee's goals focus on the priority of helping seniors age in place, as follows:
1. Promote the Warm Hearts, Warm Homes program for seniors that have no means of keeping homes warm.
2. Promote Training for Services Enriched communities and support Bexar AAA's Housing Navigator.
3. Rename the Alamo Service Connection expand outreach to community.
The committee review and discussed the goals for 2017 and new goals for 2018.
The ASC Steering discussed that the ASC will support training initiatives on long term care services and supports to property management companies developing serviced enriched communities.
The ASC committee agreed to continue to support the Warm Hearts Warm Homes program and to work with Superior Health Plan on securing funding for next year winter season.
The ASC committee will support the rebranding of the name of Alamo Services Connection.
George Losoya reported that TXServes and the Veteran Directed Home and Community Based Services (VDHCBS) Programs will give a presentation at the ADRC State Advisory Committee on January 22, 2018.
The MCO updates informed the committee that Maximus is now part of the enrollment process for clients coming off the Star Plus interest list.
