TITLE:    Miscellaneous City Buildings Hail Repair

Staff recommends that City Council approve and award a contract for Hail Repairs at Miscellaneous City Buildings to Finishing Touch Exteriors, Inc. for $499,999.90.
BACKGROUND (Consistency with Adopted Plans and Policies, if applicable)
Various buildings across the City sustained significant hail-related damage in August 2019 and damages sustained from previous hail storms. This bid packet is for the remaining locations that have not been bid for repairs. This project includes repair of various building elements at the following locations: Par 3 Golf Course, 911 Communications Center, Dehler Park, Metro Bus Building, West Side Parks Maintenance Building, City Hall, Fire Stations 1, 2, 3, 5, 7, Fox Pump Station, Staples Pump Station, and Willett Pump Station. The Facilities Division is managing the hail-related repair work and combined these locations together into one bid package. 

The project was advertised on 08/20/2021 and 08/27/2021 in Yellowstone County News and on the City's website.

Bids were opened on 09/7/2021, and two bids were received.

The bids were as follows:

T.W. Clark Construction, LLC $1,400,000.00
City Council may:
  • Approve; or,
  • Not Approve
The low bid is $499,999.90.
The base bid amount will be funded by insurance claim funds paid out for the August 2019 hail event.
