|In July of 2013, the Board of Directors adopted the Special Event Policy and Procedures which stipulates Board approval is required for special event permits for certain types of events that may have an impact to the community and surrounding neighborhoods.
A Special Event Permit Application has been received: GE Run Thru The Woods (attached)
Date: November 27, 2014 (Thanksgiving Day). No other events in the Town Center are known to occur on this date
Description: 1 Mile Kids Race, 3 Mile Walk, 3 Mile Run and 5 Mile Run.
Location: Streets in Town Center and Oak Ridge North – Race begins and ends in front of Cynthia Woods Mitchell Pavilion.
Number of years: 25 years
Area Impacted: Town Center – Lake Robbins, Six Pines Dr, Lake Woodlands and Timberloch Pl
Time: 7:00 a.m. to 11:00 a.m.
Anticipated Attendance: 7,000
Traffic Control Plan: Approved by Montgomery County Precinct 3 and Oak Ridge North.
