Receive, consider and act upon a draft Invitation for Bid (IFB) for park and ride security services (C-2017-0115);
FY2017 Budget Amount: $186,000
As part of the daily operations at the three Park & Ride facilities, security personnel staff the terminals from 5:00 a.m. to 9:00 p.m. Monday through Friday, except designated holidays.

Security personnel, provide daily duties which include:
  1. Open all access gates to the facility no later than 5:00 a.m. each operating day.
  2. Provide information to passengers or direct passengers to website for service information.
  3. Complete Guard Log for each shift
  4. Perform passenger ticket sales
  5. Monitor ticket inventories
  6. Perform sales checkout and deposit information daily (for each shift)
  7. Monitor terminal operations and provide notification to the Township of any maintenance items that may need attention. (e.g., lights out in parking lot)
  8. Perform and document routine patrol of the grounds (at least two times per shift)
  9. Provide briefing to incoming personnel at shift change.
  10. Monitor intrusion alarms, surveillance cameras and similar equipment as may be provided.
  11. Close all access gates no earlier than 9:00 p.m. each operating day.
The current contract for these service will expire in May. This procurement has been developed using Federal guidelines based on FTA Circular 4220.1F, as amended. The services provided under this contract will be funded through FTA Section 5307 grants are are reimbursed at 50 percent of the cost.
