Presentation and Possible Action Regarding the Recruitment Process for the Town Manager Position and Interim Town Manager - Tarah Mayerhofer, HR and Risk Manager
With the resignation of Town Manager Vince Lorefice, the Council needs to decide the process for hiring a new Town Manager as well as an Interim Town Manager. The Town Manager position will be vacant as of September 17, 2021. The Council has two (2) items to consider and provide direction on:
  1. Interim Town Manager:
    • Internal vs. External
  2. Recruitment of New Town Manager: 
    • Internal vs. External
    • Hybrid Method
    • Outside Expertise Method
Council met on July 26, 2021 but only gave direction regarding the interim Town Manager position. This agenda item will let the Council make a decision regarding the Interim Town Manager as well as the recruitment process for the Town Manager depending on the negotiations and decisions made leading up to this meeting.
