Proposed Ordinance 17-20 - Consider holding a public hearing and vote on Proposed Ordinance 17-20 to sell the Fisk Building located at 327 N. Main Street to Mason Holdings LLC. (Grant/Morris)
The City issued RFP 18-001 soliciting proposals for the purchase of the Fisk Building. Following an evaluation of the single bid submitted by Mason Holdings LLC for consistency with the requirement of RFP 18-001, the City determined that that the bid was in conformance with those criteria. As such, Ordinance 17-20 authorizes the sale of the Fisk Building to Mason Holdings LLC.
Aside from the purchase price, the City will save significantly on maintenance and utilities.
City Attorney has reviewed Proposed Ordinance 17-20.
BOARD AND COMMITTEE ACTION:
The Finance Committee recommended (4-0) approval of Proposed Ordinance 17-20 at their August 3, 2017, meeting. City Council approved (8-2), to advertise and hold a public hearing on Proposed Ordinance 17-20 at their August 10, 2017, Regular City Council meeting.
