ACTION REQUESTED:
Resolution 19-24 - Consider approval of Resolution 19-24 to transfer surplus truck to the Chaves County Sheriff's Office (Best/Graham)
BACKGROUND:
This truck is a 2000 Ford F-450 with approx. 220,000 miles. It was acquired by the FD around 2009. It was donated to the department free of charge by the New Mexico Gas Company. It was utilized in different ways and it is of little additional use to us at this time.
FINANCIAL CONSIDERATION
The truck being considered for transfer was donated to the Roswell Fire Department free of charge by the New Mexico Gas Company 10 years ago. The estimated value of the vehicle is approx. $4,000.00.
LEGAL REVIEW:
The City Attorney has reviewed Resolution 19-24.
BOARD AND COMMITTEE ACTION:
The Public Safety Committee recommended approval (3-0) at their meeting on February 19, 2019.
STAFF RECOMMENDATION:
Consider approval of Resolution 19-24 for a transfer of a surplus truck from the City of Roswell to the Chaves County Sheriff’s Office.
