5.   CORRESPONDENCE FROM DIRECTORS, BOARDS, COMMISSIONS, ETC.:
a.   Lorain City Planning Commission's letter dated August 1, 2018, recommending approval of revisions to the Harborwalk Development final development plan. The revisions consist of a .37 parcel located on the west side of Arizona Ave. to commercial and a .48 acre southern parcel as residential. 
6.   CORRESPONDENCE FROM OTHER GOVERNMENTAL AGENCIES:
a.   Auditor of State's submission of the certified Audit Report for year ending December 31, 2017 and Management Letter as required by ORC 117.26 & 117.27.
b.   EPA Correspondence advising application #1237255-WS; detailed plans for project called Cornerstone Farms Subdivision #2 was received and approved. 
c.   Ohio Dept of Liquor Control's notifcation of an application for a new D1 permit application for J & J Restaurant Enterprise LLC, dba Original Steaks and Hoagies @ 4310A Leavitt Road. 
d.   Ohio Department of Liquor Control's notification of an application for a C1, C2 Transfer permit from West Erie Petroleum d/b/a Express Stop @ 4935 to A & F Inc., d/b/a Marathon @ 4935 West Erie Avenue
e.   OH Dept. of Liquor Control's notif. of a C1, C2, TREX transfer application from Vollick Foods DBA Avon Brite, 37525 Colorado Avenue to ABT Investments, DBA Lorain Community Discount Mart @ 1735 Broadway, Lorain, Ohio. 
f.   OH Dept. of Liquor Control's notif of a D1, D2, D3 & D6, transfer permit application from Castillo Real Inc. to J. Humberto & Melgoza Perez, Patio and Deck @ 2532 W. Erie Avenue, 1st Floor. 
7.   CORRESPONDENCE FROM THE GENERAL PUBLIC:
a.   Residents residing on Louisiana Avenue submission of a petition opposing plans to limit street parking to only one side of the street. 
8.   COMMITTEE REPORTS:
a.   FINANCE/CLAIMS & ALL COUNCIL COMMITTEE - (1)
9.   LEGISLATION - FIRST READING:
a.   ____Reso. strongly urging the Ohio Governor and members of the Ohio General Assembly to invest the state budget surplus in municipalities. 
b.   ____Reso recognizing, celebrating and designating Sept. 15, 2018 through Oct. 15, 2018 as National Hispanic Heritage Month in the City of Lorain, Ohio. 
c.   ____Reso authorizing the Safety/Service Director to apply for, accept, and enter into a contract on behalf of the City for the construction of the Planned Active Transportation Plan/Transportation for Livable Communities. 
d.   ___Ord. authorizing the City of Lorain to enter into a Community Reinvestment Area Tax Abatement Agreement w/Jovic LLC.
e.   ____Ord. amending Ord. No. 94-18, which establishes Chapter 1507, Section 1507.01 (o) to allow for the wavier of permit fees for certain organizations of up to $500.
f.   ____Ord. authorizing the Safety/Service Director to enter into an agrmt. to amend the contract w/Terminal Ready Mix for the Lake Erie Outfall Project. 
g.   ____Ord. authorizing the Safety/Service Director to advertise for bids for the sale of city properties no longer needed for municipal purposes. 
h.   ____Ord. assessing the cost to abate nuisances by removing litter and deposits of garbage, rubbish, junk, etc. 
i.   ____Ord. amending Section I or Ord. 2-18, increasing the amount  from $450,000 to $650,000 for the purchase of gasoline, fuel oil & other petroleum products. 
j.   ____Ord. amending Ord. 77-18, Section II, updating the additional equipment list with no changes to the fiscal impact of Ord. 77-18. 
k.   ____Ord. authorizing the S/S Dir. to enter contracts for the purchase of chemicals for use in the Utilities Dept., Water & WPC Divisions of the City of Lorain.

COMMITTEE CALLS:   Chairperson Springowski has scheduled a Building/Lands & All Council committee meeting for Monday, September 10th to begin at 5:30 to review and hear a presentation from OHM Consultants on the Comprehensive Land Use Plan.
