CORRESPONDENCE FROM DIRECTORS, BOARDS, COMMISSIONS, ETC.:
Lorain City Planning Commission's letter dated May 2, 2018, recommending approval of the request to amend Chapter 1219.02 Signs, to increase the permits fees.
CORRESPONDENCE FROM OTHER GOVERNMENTAL AGENCIES: (None)
CORRESPONDENCE FROM THE GENERAL PUBLIC:
Correspondence from Evelisse Atkinson regarding the recent increase in park fees and the resulting hardship, she requests a Parks & Rec. Committee meeting on the matter.
FINANCE/CLAIMS & ALL COUNCIL COMMITTEE - (1)
LEGISLATION - FIRST READING:
____Ord. determining to proceed with the improvement of Broadway from West Erie Ave. to 10th Street by constructing a concrete sidewalk, drainage, curbing and handicap ramps together with the necessary appurtenances thereto.
____Ord. authorizing the S/S Dir. to enter into a participation agreement w/ODOT, to purchase sodium chloride from a vendor awarded the 2018/2019 Sodium Chloride contract for Lorain County.
____Ord. assessing the cost to abate nuisance by removing garbage, junk and debris for the current calendar year.
____Ord. authorizing the S/S Dir. to enter into a Local Public Authority Agreement (LPA) w/ODOT for the improvement of Broadway from W. Erie to 10th Street.
____Ord. repealing Ord 44-18 authorizing the S/S Director to enter into a contract with the lowest & best bidder for the Red Hill Reservoir Chlorine Metering and Recording project.
____Ord. authorizing the issuance & sale of notes in the maximum principal amount of
$2,200,000 to pay costs of the Broadway Streetscape project improvements.
____Ord. authorizing the issuance & sale of notes not to exceed
$600,000 in anticipation of the collection of special assessments to pay the property owner's portion of improving certain portions of Broadway.

A Finance/Claims & All Council meeting will be held on Monday, May 14th to discuss the ordinance granting CRA tax abatement to the City Center West.
MISCELLANEOUS CONCERNS FROM COUNCIL:
AN EXECUTIVE SESSION, BY PROPER MOTION, WILL BE HELD IN ACCORDANCE WITH ORC 121.22 G (3) TO CONFERENCE WITH THE PUBLIC BODY'S ATTORNEY REGARDING PENDING AND/OR IMMINENT COURT ACTION.

•Lorain Pride Day will be held on Saturday, May 19th in the City of Lorain.
•Bulk pick up will be on your regular scheduled trash pick up day during the week of May 14-18
