Lease Agreement between the City of Garland and CCL Investment, Inc.
Summary of Request/Problem
Staff is seeking approval for the City Manager, or his designee, to enter into a lease with the lessor, CCL Investment, Inc., for a temporary construction yard on approximately 8.88 acres of lessor’s property related to the GP&L Wylie Switchyard to Firewheel 138 kV Transmission Line construction across Lake Ray Hubbard. The cost of the lease is $100,000.00 for an eight (8) month period with an optional hold-over period up to six (6) months at a rate of $18,750.00 per month. This item was previously presented to Council at the October 2nd Work Session.
Recommendation/Action Requested and Justification
Approve by minute action authorizing the City Manager, or his designee, to execute a lease agreement with CCL Investment, Inc.
