Re:    Request for Extension of Time - 1815 S 30th Street

Request from David Buryanek, 1811 S. 30th Street, Ft. Pierce, FL for an extension of 12 months to pay the two reduced code enforcement liens and lot clearing lien in the amount of $2,500.00 against 1815 S. 30th Street, parcel ID no. 2417-506-0105-000-5. 
The City Commission approved the reductions at the August 3, 2015 meeting payable in 10 months. Over the last 10 months a total of $650.00 has been paid leaving a balance of $1,850.00. The owner is requesting an additional 12 months to pay.
Staff recommends granting Mr. Buryanek the extension of time to pay the balance of the reduced liens.

This recommendation is based on:
  1. The property was bought with the liens attached and the cost to rehabilitate the property has been more than he had estimated.  Repairs have continued on the property.
  2. Mr. Buryanek had unforeseen costs that involved the funeral arrangements for his father.
  3. His personal home also had unforeseen repairs.
  4. He has paid $650.00 toward the $2,500.00 reduction over the last 10 months.
  1. Deny the request.
  2. Make alternative recommendations.
